Make It Work: Denim Edition

It is safe to say that denim is a staple in every woman's (and man's) closet! But in the workplace, it can be difficult to introduce denim into your wardrobe without looking too "weekend." Thankfully my office had casual Fridays when we could (thankfully!) wear jeans. If your office isn't conducive to wearing actual jeans, there are plenty of other denim options that are still professional. Not only are these outfits super comfy, they are also chic.

1. Denim Pencil Skirt // I love how this top is pretty simple, but the fun embellishments add excitement. The look is especially crisp and professional when layered over a blue blouse. The pencil skirt's clean shape keeps it dressy, but essentially you are wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. At the office. Winning!

2. Chambray Top // I adore this chambray top. I snagged it when it was on Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom over the summer and find myself reaching for it on so many occasions. It's work appropriate when paired with jacquard cropped pants but could also be worn open on the weekend over a maxi dress. So many ways to style this top, so few days in the week!

3. Denim Jacket: This is a great way to repurpose an otherwise summery dress. Throw on a comfy denim jacket and you look put together while also being seasonly appropriate. Complete the look with a pair of navy flats for a fall twist on nautical.

How do you wear denim at the office?

P.S. Still going strong on Day 2 of #30DaysofJewels. I'm having such a blast rediscovering so many pieces I had otherwise forgotten about in my closet. Follow my journey on Instagram.
